High Security Cylinder Bump Key Course with Andy Perrin (Brighton & Hove Locksmiths)

Andy Perrin will be teaching you the unique techniques required to be able to use the one and only Seth Ryden (Fortress Locksmiths) High Security Cylinder Lock Bump Keys. Seth has developed a HUGE range of Bump Keys for opening 1 & 3 star cylinders that were previously thought to be ‘UN-BUMPABLE’ such as: ABS Master, Apecs AP, Ultion, Ultion WXM, Ultion Vertical Profile, Yale Platinum, Yale Superior, E*S MP10 and MORE………With A Very High Success Rate. Some of the techniques for bumping these High Security Locks differ from normal bumping due to the pin configuration or sliders often found in High Security Locks. You will also have an opportunity to purchase the bump key sets made by Seth himself after the course via Seth’s website. If bumping isn’t in your armoury then this course is Dior you. You will be surprised by the amount of locks these bump keys can open.

Lock Fitting Course with Andy Perrin

Come and learn all the skills reqiured to be able to fit an array of nightlatches and mortice locks with Andy Perrin. Andy will teach you the basic carpentry skills required to be able to offer retro fit and fresh fitting to your customers. This skill is often overseen by most other locksmith training schools and training centers, but it is a major part of the work we carry out on a day to day basis as locksmiths. On this 2 Day Lock Fitting Course you will learn how to fit many different nightlatches on Day 1 from low security nightlatches to the High Security British Stanadard nightlatches. On Day 2 of the course you will fit a 3 Lever Mortice Lock, and a 5 Lever Mortice Lock by hand as its important to know how to do this as well as using a jig. And you will also learn to set up the SOUBER Mortice Jig, and use this to fit 2 more locks to further improve your skill set.

On this course Brian & Andy will teach you how to use the GJ Pin & Cam Tool. An amazing specialist tool required to open many different 5 lever curtain locks using their dedicated Pin & Cam tool. Brian will show you the set up of the tool, how to take a reading of the lock to enable you to set the tool up correctly, and also how to use the tool itself to successfully open the lock causing no damage. Once you’ve learnt how to use the tool correctly and open a lock, you can then use this tool to cut a key for a customer, or re-lock a door if you are on a warrant job. Basic Bench Locksmithing Course with Andy Perrin (B&H Locksmiths)

On this 1 Day Basic Bench Locksmithing Course, we will be covering the art of key aliking locks. You will be dismantling a Euro Cylinder and a Rim Cylinder and making them Keyed Alike. This is a great skill to learn as more and more customers are liking the idea of having 1 key to work all their locks for convenience. You will also dismantle a mortice lock completely, and strip down all the elements. This is useful for when a customers lock is ‘sticky’ or just not functionining very well. We will overhaul and lubricate the lock, and reassemble it. We will also make the lock Keyed Alike to another deadlock. This is becoming an increasingly popular request by customers to do this. And finally we will covering common nightlatch & mortice lock repairs. Nightlatches & deadlocks often fail due to a number of reasons but these can usually be fixed on site without having to replace the entire lock. We will dismantle some different nightlatches and deadlocks and talk through the most comman problems and repair them as necessary, meaning you save your customer money as you now don’t need to change the lock, and you’ve completed the repier in 1 visit.
